Enlighten your home

The XP View is the most superior quality, exterior bi-folding door systems manufactured in the UK. It has been newly modified to improve the system even further with a reduced sightline to just 90mm and the ability to create individual folding panels as wide as 1500mm.

The XP View offers slender frames and allows large glass areas that combine to create a wonderful looking product when the doors are closed and a spectacular transformation of your home space when the doors are effortlessly opened.

ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

The engineering excellence of the door means that although the face widths are among the slimmest available on the market with a newly reduced typical sight line of just 90mm, the frames are incredibly strong, which ensures that each individual exterior bi-fold door panel can go up to an industry leading 1500mm wide as well as up to 3300 mm high.

ENGINEERED FOR PRECISION

Unlike other folding doors that are top hung, our unique system bears no weight loading on the support above. All of our exterior bi-folding doors run on stainless steel wheels with high precision bearings, which give an effortless gliding operation and extreme durability.

UNRIVALLED STABILITY

As there is no weight at the head of the door, the bi-fold will not cause your RSJ to bow or deflect. So its weight doesn’t need to be taken into account when calculating steel requirements.

KEY FEATURES

  • Bottom Hung with heavy-duty stainless-steel wheels and high precision bearings
  • 1500mm wide folding door panels, larger panels means more glass and less frame with six-metre-wide doors only needing five folding door panels.
  • Moving corner post available.
  • Ultra Slim sightline of just 90mm, which coupled with large folding door panels means less frame and more glass.
  • Heavy Duty Panel Catch which secures the traffic door in place when operating the door.
  • Precision Adjustment within the side jambs of the outer frame meaning the door can easily be re-aligned even after years of use.
  • Extremely low overall U values

The highest specification bi-folding door on the market

The newly modified XP View sets a new benchmark for premium quality bi-folding doors. The system boasts various industry leading features including a tongue & groove meeting style for the folding panels which means improved stability, fewer hinges are required & a reduced sightline down to just 90mm. The system looks great when closed thanks to it’s unique flush vent & outer frame concept which looks both sleek & contemporary.

The system is strong & secure with superb overall U values & almost effortless to use thanks to the engineering within it’s rollers & guide runners. Despite it’s sleek looks & minimal sightline the XP View can still house huge 1500mm wide folding panels meaning huge glass areas are combined with an already minimal framework.

XP View Frequently Asked Questions

Is the new XP View system available now?

Yes, the XP View is available now and on display in all our showrooms.

Is the previous XP View bi-folding door system still available?

Yes, the previous XP View bifold door is still one of the best in the market place we have simply pushed the technology even further. We still carry large stocks of the old XP View system and we are planning to continue manufacturing the product for the next few years.

Can your bi-folds open inwards as well as outwards?

Yes, bi-fold doors can open inwards or outwards. Typically, people prefer doors that open out, so the folding panels don’t encroach into your home or internal space.

Would you advise a flush finish?

All our doors are bespoke, so a flush finish is a strong requirement of all our customers. We recommend our rebated bottom track as the door closes against the rebate giving the door a superb weather seal. We will measure the door to your finished floor level so internally your floor sit’s almost flush with the top of the bottom track’s rebate. This achieves a flush finish whilst being weather tight.

How do you clean the track?

It is important to not allow debris to build up in the track as this will affect the operation of the door & a build-up of debris can lead to a block in the drainage, causing water to come into the property. Use a small brush to loosen any debris from the track and use a vacuum cleaner with a thin attachment to collect. The track can simply be vacuumed out and any dirt or debris removed either by hand or with a cloth.

Do you have to service a bi-fold?

Not necessarily but they should be cleaned, used regularly and fully opened at least once a month to avoid any settlement & to ensure moving parts are lubricated. Maintenance is minimal but it helps to keep mechanical moving parts lubricated regularly including hinges, multi-point locks, handles, the steel rollers in the bottom track and guide runners in the top track.

Can you have integral blinds with the XP View?

Yes, manual and solar control integral blinds are available with the system.

A PERFECT COMBINATION

Bi-folding doors with Uniblinds

Make your open space private with integral blinds. Not only can they make sure that no one sees in, but Uniblinds can help you control light levels too. Contained within your bifolding door, they can be concealed discreetly when not in use. Whether you’re looking for something that won’t disrupt the clean and modern lines of your XP View or you just want something low maintenance, Uniblinds are the perfect solution.

SAFETY & SECURITY

SOLIDITY COMES AS STANDARD

If you’re looking for an exterior bi-folding door that is secure, reliable and easy to use, then you’re in the right place. Our doors are manufactured with a liquid component injected into each panel, which sets hard, leaving the doors light yet solid as concrete.

Our aluminium bi-folding doors offer best-in-class security with features such as:

  • Multi point locks ensuring the door is strong and secure
  • Concealed gearing that cannot be seen or attacked when the door is closed
  • The system is glazed from the inside.
  • Secured by Design specification available.

DESIGNED FOR SAFETY

We know the importance of door safety, especially if you have a family. That’s why our exterior bi-folding doors are made with safety in mind. From an adjustable panel catch to hold doors in place, to finger safe gaskets to prevent little fingers from getting trapped, and even ensuring a flush installation to prevent trip hazards, you can be happy in the knowledge that your doors are as safe as can be.

TOUGH LOCKS

Security Lock Barrel Cylinders as Standard

We offer premium lock barrels throughout our entire range of doors, including the XP View bi-folding doors. Our commitment to industry-leading quality means that we only use high security 3-star diamond rated BSI cylinders, supplied by one of the world’s leading lock cylinder manufacturers, as standard. Anti-snap, anti-drill, anti-pick and anti-bump, they go over and above the standard needed for Secured by Design accreditation.

We even supply these lock cylinders in doors with half a barrel, so internally the door boasts all the same security benefits as externally, so you know you have peace of mind when you choose Express’ exterior bi-folding doors.

Our lock barrels don’t need a special lock card to get keys cut, unlike other Secured by Design standard lock barrels, which means getting spare or emergency keys is easy.
