What we delivered

The project included removing and taking away the existing the doors and preparing the opening with timber packers, which would eventually be concealed with aluminium pressings. The existing products were old fashioned and contained thick frames that reduced the amount of natural light coming into the property, so we combined the slender 90mm sightlines of our XP View bi-folding door with 1400mm folding door panels to create a stunning glass façade across the full width of the new sunroom.

This seven-metre bi-folding door is split into just five panels, replacing what was a seven-panel bi-fold so the difference in appearance between the two is remarkable. A three-panel bi-fold door was used on the return for quick and easy access out through the traffic door, while the opposite return followed the same theme of more glass and less frame as the existing two panel fixed window was replaced with a large picture window, to create a glass corner affect keeps the space looking bright and airy.

A stunning replacement installation

The benefits of this installation are clear to see. The new sunroom is a wonderful setting that is bathed in light from all angles, while framing the outward views of the landscaped garden. The space is contemporary but warm and will no doubt be enjoyed throughout the whole year. When the bi-fold doors are open the space is transformed further, a huge space that flows seamlessly from inside to out, and one that the homeowners cannot wait to enjoy in the Spring and Summer.
