What we delivered

We manufactured & installed replacement doors & windows for the whole house including our XP77 entrance door, which provides an instant feature to the front of the property. Positioned next to a glazed sidelight in the newly constructed porch the distinctive & modern front door gives a clear indication of the high specification home that awaits inside.

Aluminium Windows

Our Scenic casement windows have been installed to replace the existing UPVC windows. The statement slim sightlines & a flush outer frame have given the whole property an immediate upgrade when viewed externally, whilst internally they meet the customers requirements of maximum glass & natural light, whilst beautifully framing the countryside views. A shaped feature window has been installed also, positioned centrally within the rear elevation it has replaced an existing dormer window to stunning affect and another example of how our products have been used to create subtle modernisations throughout this home. It is inside the home where the benefits can really be seen, with the shaped frame acting as a large picture window that not only floods natural light into the upstairs landing area but instantly connects the first floor with the surrounding landscape.

Skylights

There was a discussion about whether to choose a roof lantern or flat roof windows. Another consideration was whether to have one large roof lantern as a feature in the middle of the kitchen or smaller skylights to ensure natural light would enter the space throughout all hours of the day. The final decision was to install three skylights, including a feature skylight positioned above the kitchen island. Plus, the well-formed decision to position two sky lights either side of the dining table, with the inner skylight perfectly positioned to increase the natural light within the three key zones of the extension, the island breakfast bar, the dining table, and the living area.

Bi-folding or sliding doors?

Having previously purchased sliding doors from Express the next key decision was the common discussion about whether to install bifold or sliding doors into this second property. After much deliberation, the unique benefits of our industry leading bi-folding door the XP View, led the homeowners to choose this fantastic product to provide the clear connection to the garden that was fundamental to their new extension.

The homeowners are delighted with their second major project with Express and can now enjoy their newly renovated home. Having replaced all the existing windows in the property and installed the bespoke products for the new extension we believe that we have played a major part in it’s upgrade. A complete overhaul of the property was not required but our replacement windows have modernised the home, whilst making the interior rooms look bigger and brighter and no doubt warmer thanks to the thermal performance of our aluminium windows. The feature products such as the shaped window, three skylights and six metre wide bi-folding door have had the biggest impact. Each feature product was fundamental to the homes design & the customers initial requirements of open plan living, maximum natural light views & a clear connection out to the garden, all of which has been expertly executed & delivered thanks to our expert advice & bespoke aluminium products.
