PARKdesigned are a design led practice with a genuine passion for Architecture and Interior Design.
PARKdesigned were commissioned by their private client to evaluate the potential of remodelling Silverwood in order to restore some of the original architectural design. The main concern the client had was that the house had lost some of its original architectural integrity when the single storey extension and conservatory was added to the house. The brief was to replace these with something more keeping to the rest of the property.
A key element of the design was to incorporate our XP View bi folding doors, as well as our flush sash casement windows, fixed windows and tilt and turn windows. The glazing area throughout the new extension is maximised by both the slim face widths of our all our products as well as their inherent strength which allows for large double glazed units to be incorporated within them.
The folding doors were supplied in RAL9009ST inside and out whilst the windows are dual colour with RAL 9009ST on the external face and traffic white 9016ST on the internal face. This selection of colours creates a bold feature of the folding doors internally, while the windows sit quietly against the matching internal decor and alike the kitchen worktops also. The products themselves are all powder coated to one of our metallic textured finishes as opposed to a standard matt finish which adds an additional quality to our installation perfectly complementing the modern kitchen and living areas.
We are always keen to work on stunning residential projects such as this one. We are happy to work alongside architects and interior designers such as Parkdesigned, contractors who are working on behalf of the architects, or of course working with the end users who often enjoy the challenges of managing their own development.
This is a great project which we are delighted to add to our portfolio. Silverwood is another terrific example of how industry leading architects and designers can specify our range of products in order to realise their client’s original brief and ambitions.
