Background
This homeowner purchased a property in North Yorkshire and rather than undertaking a massive redevelopment decided to knock down the existing property and rebuild a modern luxury home. Situated just forty minutes from our Leeds showroom the homeowner visited us on several occasions with the aim of finding one company to manufacture and install all the doors and windows required for this ambitious project. Plans for the property were drawn up of an LA inspired home consisting of open interiors, full height glazing throughout and seamless links between the indoor and outdoor space. We worked with the homeowners by outlining the many features and benefits of our full product portfolio, which ultimately would play a key role in the completion of this stunning property.
What we delivered
We manufactured and installed the bespoke door and window products that are featured throughout this spectacular new home. The front elevation is sleek and contemporary giving an immediate indication of the luxurious interiors that await inside. Scenic casement windows blend into the upper floor cladding while the ground floor windows are full height to match the rest of the ground floor windows and doors. The main feature on the front elevation is without question our aluminium curtain walling encasing a premium entrance door.
Glazed Entrance Atrium
The entrance to a property is often the focal point for design and that is truly the case with this wonderful property. Our Premium Bentano entrance door sits centrally within a curtain wall screen that spans almost five metres in height. The shaped atrium window sits directly under the roof ridge which has created a high and vaulted ceiling internally, allowing for hanging pendants, which create a grand feeling as soon as you enter the property.
The entrance atrium mirrors the glass sliding doors on the opposite elevation, which floods the hallways with natural light from both the front and rear elevations of the property.
Stunning windows throughout
Our slim framed aluminium windows have been installed throughout the property, often full height but with opening sashes for ventilation and fire escape regulations. Our casement windows are strong, secure, thermally efficient & boast sightlines slim enough for contemporary properties such as this.
The living room, bedrooms & en-suite bathrooms all benefit from our Scenic casement windows, whereas the master bedroom benefits from a beautiful picture overlooking the private woodland.
The expert design of this property is perfectly illustrated on the rear elevation where two full height casement windows are positioned either side of the central picture window, while lining through with the large sliding door in the kitchen below.
Slim framed sliding doors
It’s in large properties with numerous openings such as this where sliding doors are arguably becoming more popular than bi-folding doors. The sightlines for sliding doors are as slim as 20mm, which is considerably slimmer than the 88mm sightline afforded with our XP88 bi-fold doors. Plus, the numerous openings within this property naturally retains the inside & out feel that usually drives the popularity of bi-folding doors. Matching sightlines and the same floor level throughout the whole of the interior, matched by the external patio and flat roof areas meant that minimal framed sliding doors were the perfect product for this particular project.
Twin & Triple track sliding doors
A combination of triple track and twin sliding doors have been used across this property’s rear elevation. The twin track doors are situated within the home office and the living room, effectively acting as two glazed picture windows separated only by a small aluminium sightline but with the functionality to open by 50% onto the built-up external patio area.
Triple track sliding doors
Large format three panel sliding doors have been used in three of the main rooms within the home. The master bedroom boasts a three-panel sliding door that leads out onto a flat roof area. The impressive home gym sits directly underneath, allowing the opportunity to create a 66% clear opening that will allow energetic workouts to spill out onto the outside patio area.
The third set screens off the open plan kitchen, creating a light filled space with the garden always in view but with the flexibility to connect the interior and exterior space.
Expert design
The superb design of this property, the great taste of the homeowner and the skills of the building contractors have pulled this impressive project together. The clever use of materials including warm wooden cladding, clean smooth render and our slender aluminium frames have all been combined to stunning affect. Inside the home the interiors have been finished to an immaculate standard, again utilising the best possible materials to ensure that the property is as beautiful on the inside and it is from the outside.
The building itself is enclosed and private, which makes it the perfect setting to utilise the maximum amount of glazing possible. When the doors and windows are going to be so prominent in a property it is crucial to use not only the best possible products but an experienced and reputable company, and that is why we were able to bring so much value and expertise to this particular project.

A stunning finished home
The home itself is simply stunning, looking every bit like the type of luxury property featured on Netflix’s Selling Sunset, albeit with a slightly more overcast North Yorkshire backdrop.
