Manufactured using the same bonding methods as our Premium range, our pivot doors push the boundaries that bit further. Rather than traditional door hinges the doors pivot thanks to an innovative off centre rotation axis that not only adds a dramatic effect when opening the door but also aligns with the modern architectural demand for standout doors and windows.

Expertly manufactured in-house
We manufacture our aluminium pivot doors within our designated entrance door fabrication area and then double bond the 77mm panel to the door. The result is a stunning pivot door that is available glazed or in a unique panel design, all of which are designed to create a real stand out entrance feature when installed into any property.
Practicalities to bear in mind
Pivot doors are designed for warmer climates as the pivot action does not have a typical rebate to close against, meaning the wind loading isn’t as good as our traditional opening entrance doors. For this reason we recommend having the pivot doors set back and protected by an external overhang like a veranda or canopy. Incorporating this into the frontal design of any property brings the benefit of a statement entrance door with proper UK weather protection.
Another consideration with pivot doors is that it has two closing points as opposed to the one potential hazard with hinged doors so you need to bear that in mind if you have small children or pets. We recommend looking at the product in our showrooms and discussing these doors with our Sales team.
Impressive in every aspect
Our pivot doors offer exceptional thermal and acoustic insulation, alongside superior water and air tightness. The large door leaves are supported by concealed bearing hinges capable of handling up to 500 kg, which is why we can offer some designs up to a huge 1500mm wide by 3200mm high. Like all our products the system has been designed to compliment our full product range so can be incorporated into curtain walling or fixed alongside side and top lights.
The pivot action of the door means that it requires a flush threshold inside to out with a clever drainage system that will lead water away from the front of the door. The doors are available in any RAL colour and the panels themselves are highly insulated with packed PUR complete with an expansion joint. We can also offer these statement doors glazed with
triple-glazed panels with a thickness of up to 60 mm

Key features
Expertly manufactured in-house to bespoke sizes, we fabricate our pivot doors by bonding the skins of our panels to both faces of the door sash. This creates a flush finish, both inside & out. Once bonded, we then carefully store all our pivot doors for a minimum of forty-eight hours to allow them to set and complete the manufacturing process. As a result, all of our aluminium bonded panel entrance doors are extremely robust & secure, no matter which style characteristics you choose.
