St Gemma’s is very close to our hearts here at Express and as a long-standing supporter of the Leeds based hospice we discussed their series of annual fund-raising events and put fifteen members of our team forward to complete the Total Warrior obstacle course. Spanning 12 kilometres, the Total Warrior is the UK’s longest obstacle event and as well as having to cover the distance our team had to tackle 25 obstacles including fire, ice, water, and a lot of mud.
St Gemma’s Hospice is a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. They offer care to patients and their carers in the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team and via Out-Patients.
St Gemma’s welcomes and provides care to everyone regardless of people’s age, gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or diagnosis. Their care is always completely free of charge.
St Gemma’s is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the UK.
On the 22nd June, fifteen members of our team across various departments proved that they are total warriors as they successfully completed the 12k and 25 obstacles in aid of St Gemma’s hospice in Leeds.
We’re immensely proud of our team and the money that they have raised for this great cause. If you would like to add your support to St Gemma’s you can donate via this Just Giving Link.
