This stunning project in rural Leicestershire is typical of the new build and extension projects that we regularly undertake. Our signature XP View bi-folding doorshave been installed underneath a striking glazed curtain wall apex to stunning effect.
This design of this elevation has incorporated the maximum amount of glazing possible, which is whystructural curtain wall glazing was used, the highest point of which is four metres high. One of the main benefits of our XP View bi-folding doors is that individual panels can be manufactured wider and taller than other systems on the market. All three sets on this project boast huge panels as all the doors are all 2.5 metres tall, and all are very wide. The three panel door is almost 3.4 metres wide, the four panel bi-folding door is 4.7 metres wide, and the huge six panel bi-folding doors is 6.3 metres wide, meaning all of the bi-folding door sets contain individual folding door panels which are well over one metre wide and extremely tall.
This project has been expertly measured and installed, and finished off perfectly with bespoke aluminium pressings. As the elevation is predominantly glass commercial quality glazing has been used throughout. Planitherm 4 Seasons is ideal for this type of installation, it boasts a neutral appearance but still contains a solar reflective coating which greatly reduces solar heat gain. It also has superb thermal properties with a U value of 1.0 so in short it keeps the home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. For more information about 4 Seasons glass click here.
