This home in Cambridge boasts a distinctive architectural aesthetic. Every element of the property is-in keeping with modern trends so it is somewhat unsurprising that the homeowners first saw our products at the Grand Designs Live exhibition in Birmingham.
The combination of white render and anthracite grey is extremely popular amongst design professionals and looks terrific on the front of this property. This home differs however because external faces of the building also boast cedar and unique zinc cladding also, the latter helping to create a real dramatic statement extension on the back of the house.
We manufactured and installed all of the windows and sliding doors throughout the property. It is the stunning extension on the back of the house where our XP Glide patio doors are wonderfully showcased, helping to create a striking wall of glass completely encasing the modern-open living area inside.
In total there are three twin track sliding doors the largest of which is 4.2m x 2.3 metres tall. The new L-shaped extension contains a large picture window at the end corner with the largest sliding doors which looks stunning both externally and inside the house. The additional two sliding doors sets sit in-line with the back of the house.
This project boasts unique design features throughout, not least the flow from the inside space to outside on the raised decking linked to the gym, kitchen and living space. The zinc cladding creates is the perfect complement to our anthracite grey door and window products, and has been utilised perfectly to create a bold, cohesive look to the whole extension.
