On Friday the 16th September 2016 we celebrated the long awaited opening of our record-breaking showroom in Leeds.
Spanning 27,000 square feet and featuring full-size show houses, our flagship showroom ‘The Home Space’ is the largest of its kind in Europe. To mark the occasion, we celebrated the grand opening with some famous faces, previous residential customers, existing trade customers as well as many of the companies and suppliers that we have forged successful working relationships with over the years.
Two years in the making, the £3.5m manufacturing facility and showroom investment is the latest phase in our continued expansion. We have always championed the importance of seeing products in the flesh and set about planning the new premises in 2014 to facilitate fully-informed decisions for our customers, and as such, we showcase everything from simple windows and bi-folding doors to full-sized homes akin to those seen on Grand Designs. An industry first, we hope the showroom will encourage visitors from far afield and lead them into creating truly inspiring homes that they would not have envisaged without visiting our fantastic showroom.
We wanted to create a destination for everybody, from homeowners and developers to architects and specifiers, to discover products in a familiar and realistic setting, with advice on hand whenever it’s needed regardless of project size. The whole team has worked exceptionally hard to get the showroom finished and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
As well as displaying our extensive range of aluminium glazing products, it doubles as a kitchen and interiors showroom featuring products from our newly formed sister company Express in the Home, as well as specially selected local, national and international partner brands.
We welcomed well-known TV personality and property professional Phil Spencer to officially open the showroom. The event was also attended by TV personalities and Express customers Dominic Littlewood and Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter. Special guests also included leading global industry representatives from Schueco, Saint Gobain and Thonet whose products are displayed within the showroom. Appliance brands such as Sub-Zero & Wolf, Miele & AEG provided Michelin star chefs who carried out live cooking demonstrations in the kitchen sets, showcasing the latest in kitchen appliance technology.
We welcomed literally hundreds of visitors on the day and the overwhelming reaction was that the showroom was that despite seeing photographs and videos of the showroom it was much larger and more impressive than they had anticipated. The whole showroom experience is completely unique to any other and simply is a must visit destination for anyone carrying out a project of any scale.
