The huge kitchen island positioned directly underneath an equally large glass skylight is arguably the main feature within the design with light flooding into the extension through the bespoke roof lantern which sits on two gable shaped frames.
The bi-folding doors have been expertly measured to suit the modern feel of this space with the internal floor level running completely flush with the rebate on the bottom track of the doors. The bi-fold doors and windows both include integral blinds allowing light and shading control as well as the ability to completely shut the blinds on an evening.
There are many subtle design features that have helped to create this premium kitchen extension including the wonderful coving detail under the roof lantern, which also leads into the rest of the room. This bespoke coffer detail includes lighting bouncing out from the coving and expertly designed around the kitchen island which can be adapted to suit the time of day or task at hand within the kitchen.
Moving away from the main kitchen the space opens to a large seating area in front of the TV, creating a large family room that is truly the hub of the home. This project is a great example of how our bespoke glazed products can sit alongside the products from our sister company Express in the Home as the huge skylight is a great complement to the kitchen island, whilst the bi-folding doors help to create a truly flexible space that can be easily linked to the garden creating an indoor-outdoor flow.
This home also benefits from a set of bi-folding doors in the gym area, which proves another popular way of using bi folding doors to create a flexible space that can be opened when the weather is suitable.
